NEW MEMBER INQUIRIES & QUICK QUESTIONS- CLASSIC MENSWEAR: WK OF OCT 26, 2015 - Page 3

I'm looking for something in the $800 to $1100 range. I have a few nice LBM 1911 blazers and a lesser burberry and john varvatos usa. Looking to take a step up in terms of quality.

What do you think of these?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, jp.  I'm not crazy about either of them and definitely wouldn't pay that much for them.  Have you looked into Ring Jacket or Eidos Napoli?  Much better options in that price range, IMO.

1) I just picked up this sport coat.  Could someone tell me the appropriate name of this weave?

2) Is it appropriate to store cordovan shoes with shoe trees?  I haven't done an exhaustive search but I saw differing opinions.

That's an interesting one.  Not sure on the weave type.

Yes, definitely use shoe trees with your cordovan shoes.

Is it acceptable to have unfused cuffs on dress/office shirts?

My latest batch of Proper Cloth dress shirts have unfused collars and unfused cuffs, and I was wondering if it was somehow inappropriate for the context?

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. The only Eidos Napoli I see on Nordstrom is :http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/jacket/4134621?origin=category&BaseUrl=Sport+Coats+%26+Blazers. I do quite like this look however I am a bit concerned about the fabric composition. It's 65% wool and 35% elastane. What do you make of that?

Thanks again for any help you can provide

Hey im a highschooler in the market for suit but not really sure if things like combatant gentleman and bar iii suits are worth the money as oppose to saving up for a napoli suit supply suit? Im short with a slight build so finding clothing that fits at the thrift store has not worked for me. I would get it tailored as well to assure fit but are any od these cheap options worth a look such as the two mentioned before h&m, alfani red, or j ferrar? Thanks

That's labeled a sport coat, but it's actually a casual jacket. You won't find a fabric comp like that in Eidos sportcoats....they offer some amazing fabrics. Check out what they have at NoManWalksAlone.

Welcome to the forum. It depends on your office....it might look sloppy in a conservative office, but in a more casual environment, it should be fine.

Welcome to the forum, Hector. If you don't need a suit right away, save up for Suit Supply. None of the other brands you listed come close to them in terms of quality/construction.

Navy or mid grey...no charcoal. Navy would be my first choice.

Hi,

I'm new here and it really looks like a good forum.

I'm looking for italian shirts with good fit and fabrics. I'm only spot the highend shirts like Finamore but I want shirts in the price range 100-130 eur.

Would be really nice if somebody know some brands.

Regards William
