Your Guilty Pleasure TV Show

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has caught myself watching mind-numbingly dumb trash tv... and liked it. What's your poison? I don't indulge so much anymore since I'm busy, but over the last few years I've went through small bouts of watching each of these shows: -MTV's The Real World - why isn't my life at all like this? -Maury Povich - I love how the stage hands coax every guest into acting like a moron and continually screaming at the audience and camera. I know a guy who went on the show to get a paternity test. Him and the girl both knew that he was the baby's daddy... they just wanted a free trip to new york. -A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila - I watched one episode, and I could actually feel my IQ decreasing... but I stuck it out

"Cavemen".

I started watching it just to piss off my wife, who absolutely hates the commercials. However, in spite of everything, we both started to kind of enjoy it.

Granted, it's not going to make anyone forget "Cheers", but it really has had some funny lines in the 4 or 5 episodes that have aired.

"Gluten? You mean the stuff in bread?"

I wouldn't put it in the same category as reality TV, but my "guilty pleasure" TV show is BBC's Dr. Who. It's often cheesy sci-fi with humorous dialog.

I watch Football, Sportscenter, Heroes, and Jeopardy.

and I'm not particularly guilty about any of it.

Dr. Who, Stargate: SG-1/Atlantis/Torchwood/Star Trek. Then I'll go and watch a Fassbinder or Godard film.

Back in college, my roommate would get up to watch the Jerry Springer Show between 9:00 and 10:00, then take a shower and come back out for another airing on a different channel from 11:00 to 12:00. He did this every single day. That's really the last time I was exposed to much TV, and getting hooked into his routine was really going the whole hog where guilty pleasures are concerned.

I like Doctor Who and don't really consider it a guilty pleasure. It's better than the vast majority of the junk that's on TV.

Torchwood, on the other hand ... that's a guilty pleasure, at best. And sometimes it's just, well, bad.

I consider a guilty pleasure TV show as any program I think twice about telling someone I watch. Here goes:

The Real World, The Hills, Project Runway (I havent bothered watching this season though), Top Chef
