Wolf vs Goat Appreciation Thread - Page 85

Is Mauro using multiple factories for made in Italy products? I'm not sure how the new products will be made in time if the old stuff hasn't been made yet.

Micromodal / supima cotton henleys are up on the pre-order page: https://www.wolfvsgoat.com/collections/pre-order

I think I'm going for hunter green (it's all the way at the bottom if you scroll down). Has anyone talked to Mauro about sizing for this year's crop?

Also a new blog post on flannel pre-orders: https://www.wolfvsgoat.com/blogs/blog/flannel-pre-order-fall-winter-2016

I'm picking up this one:

Holding off on ordering until I get my other stuff. It's been 4+ months of waiting and no updates of when they'll actually be delivered. Receiving a summer shirt in fall/winter is now pointless.

^ouch sorry to hear? Have you tried to contact Mauro? I know the turn around times can be long. I know when the over dyes came out i waited approximately 2.5 months. I just cancelled at that point since they went on sale on the site eventhough I got it for regular price.

I'm also on WvG hold until some of my stuff from 4 months ago arrives.

Got the email about the Connery sweater and the henleys.

Did the new Connery page the email is linking to not update the stock? Still shows very limited sizing.

Yeah I'm still waiting on the lounge sweatpants. I think Mauro will come through he always does, but the wait sucks. I'm holding off as well till some of the stuff starts to trickle in although the henley material sounds tempting.

here is the response from Mauro about sizing for the new knits and henleys

-------

I have worked it out so that all the tees, henleys, knits etc.... all basically fit the same. In that, I mean if you are a small you will ALWAYS be a small.

For example. I am have a 42 chest. I am a large in the tees, Henely's, and my sweaters. It's the correct size.

Does this mean I can wear a medium, sure. I can. It doesn't look bad but it is way more fitted for sure.

Going forward let's say I want to make an over sized tee. You would still be your size and I would still be mine. The size is what the size says.

I have learned I can't control what people decide to do with the clothes once they buy them.
Some people like looking like a stuffed sausage others like wearing a sack.
All I can do is try to put out the most consistent product I can.

For me working with the correct factory's helps. I always use amazig highly skilled factories but some just aren't the correct fit.
When this happens you can sometimes expect size differences.

The goal and mission at this point is getting the same fit no matter what the fabric is.

If you are a small BD, I suggest you buy a small knit.
Know if you are in between sizes I would say it's always safer to go up than down but that's just me.

I hope this helps.

You can also let SF and Reddit know the the thermal and jersey is fucking amazing.

The jersey is very heavy, at least to me and once it's dyed and shrinks up it will even be thicker.
You will seriously love the feel and appreciate the comfort.
I am hoping to get everyone to the point where they can just look an feel at the fabric and realize that it's quality.

------

so a small is a small is a small. be consistent.  that's the goal.  works for me!!

follow up from Mauro regarding sizing for the knits:
36 XS
38 Small
40 medium
42 Large ( like me)
44 XL
46 XXL

this is the same boat that I am in. I actually participated in the pre-order just last week or whenever it was, but I don't think I could keep doing that. I am still waiting on summer shirts and they will arrive here when the temperature is probably 20° or less. Who knows when I will get the stuff from the most recent pre-order. I love the stuff that Mauro makes, but it's tough for me to have all of these orders out there with no updates on when they will definitely be shipped.

Holy crap. Those flannels look like good value. I'm a bit confused though. Mauro says the cost is up, and shipping and labor are a big part of it. Wasn't part of the Italy move suppose to lower the cost?

I guess you get better craftsmen for relatively the same price. I wasn't around earlier in WvG also, so maybe I just don't know the MiUSA shirts' costs.

Wish I could justify one of those shirts right now (kind of on a freeze). They look amazing, essentially stuff that Flat Head and etc would be selling for a much better value.

The fabrics are COSTLY AF. They probably feel amazing.

Man. That sucks to hear. What shirts did you buy? I heard the summer shirts had some really nice prints on them. It's a shame you won't get to wear them during summer.

Also, shame that the last of the Cashwool is used up to make the Shawl sweater. I would love one if it were a shawl Cardigan or a regular sweater.

I think it's that the fabrics are coming from Japan. If he was using Italian fabrics it would probably be less costly.

Not OP, but I'm waiting on:

Bamboo Sorona Short Sleeve Tee "Stone" - MEDIUM / Roll-Neck

Bamboo Sorona Short Sleeve Tee "Storm Blue" - SMALL / Roll-Neck
Snozzberry
Opossum Roll Neck Tee - Roll Neck Crew / Short Sleeve / Charcoal Gray
Verbena Classic Crew - Classic Crew Neck / Short Sleeve / Slate Blue

And more recent so I don't really count these:
Shepard Tee Marled Wine - Small / Wine
Camper Tee - Small / Aluminum

I might have a self-control problem...

Hmm. Probably top tier stuff. I wonder how much difference would it make if the fabric was Italian? Like in terms of feel. I know Japan has a huge Americana culture, but does Italy?

Anyhow, would love one of those.

Quite a few orders! How long did they take? (What's snozzberry?)

And the Opossum and Verbena tees are new to me. What's the fabric promising?

I just changed my orders to get one of the Modal/merino marled grey + the Hunter green henely. That's proably it for me this winter for tees.
