FYI, Mauro's advice to me was "You want a small. I am making the sleeves and body longer."

As a short smedium who has typically sized up, this is terrible news.

At least you can tailor in that direction? I know it adds cost and PITA, but in my experience it's better than the alternative. The sleeves especially I think won't be an issue. They'll just bunch up a bit without getting in the way if they're snug.

Enjoyed this from the description on the l/s tee:

"Insults like a true champion"

Bring it on, asshole.

Got beanies and tees like everyone else. Dumb not to buy the beanies.

I asked Mauro about the other melange wools because I was interested in the green melange as well. He said

There was an inventory error on Global Merinos part.

So he can't get any of the green or charcoal melange fabric.

bummer!

I don't see this on the blog, but I assume the merino marled tees are long sleeve crew neck as well?

I normally wear monkey arms in the button downs, but normal sleeves in the thermals/henleys. Mauro said these sleeves will be longer, so I am going to go with a regular sleeve length and my normal size. Hope it works out.

I do the same. Normal Medium in the Henleys and monkey arms in the button downs.

I think they're actually all long sleeves. I missed it at first too, but it looks like it's in the descriptions for all of them.

Mauro asked me to pass along a message about fit. The tee is on the same pattern as the egyptian cotton mercerized tees (Spring '15?), except the body and sleeve lengths are extended. Here's a repost of the only picture I have of myself in one of these tees. 4th of July baby!

I'm 6'3" with a 40" chest and very long arms, so you have a gauge. I'm wearing a large. I used to tend toward mediums in the older WvG stuff, but the large fits me pretty perfectly in this pattern. It's a really great cut, actually, and I'm happy he's sticking with this pattern. Mauro is extending the lengths for this run of tees because they will be great base layers in colder weather, and the added length will allow them to be tucked. He says it won't be too long to be worn untucked.

I'll post another pic at some point this week that should give you a better sense of the fit, but this is what I've got for now.

I'm excited for all these fall knits. I got a shepherd, a roll neck, and a not so basic today. I somehow missed the road runner tee with the celliant, which I'm really interested in checking out, so I'm going to have to dip back in with another order.

Oh yeah, I've got the white one from that run. IIRC they run about a half size larger than the bamboo tees.

Edit: Also has anyone heard anything about the conversational shirts?

I've got 5 sitting in my cart (black Camper, blue and grey rollnecks, wine merino, and olive not-so-basic) and I feel like I don't need all of them, and yet I'm having a hard time removing any of them. Especially considering I'll be looking to get some stuff from the next batch (thermals, etc.), too...

I went with Camper and Shepard over the others cause they had a higher natural fiber content. I'm (maybe erroneously) assuming them to be more durable than the others. I'm planning to use these as camping base layers, among other things. They all look awesome and I had to make up some semi-arbitrary criteria here :P

I really wish I had picked up one of the Navy sheep shirts. I have the gray one, but the Navy really pops.

Yeah, the sheep shirt may be my favorite WvG shirt, despite all the drama surrounding it
