FINAL REDUCTION TO $220 SHIPPED BEFORE EBAY TOMORROW....... STILL AVAILABLE -- GRENSON DERBY $260 SHIPPED -----> NOW FINAL PRICE CUT TO $240 SHIPPED. DON'T WAIT ON THIS. WALK-OVER BROGUES - SOLD GRENSON CHUKKAS -- SOLD AE SLAYTON -- SOLD To make room for my Christmas purchases and gifts, I'm letting a few things go. Most things are new. There's four pair of wonderful shoes and three sweaters (separate thread). So let's get the big picture first: There's an NIB Grenson Oval Derby in tan on the left (US 13D), an NIB Grenson Chukka on the right (US-12.5E), lightly used Walk-Over pebble-grain brogue (US 13D) and an NWOB AE Slayton (US-12.5 D) bringing up the rear. Now let's get down to the detail. 1. Grenson Oval Derby hand-made shoes in tan/chestnut from their exclusive premium Rose collection. DRASTIC PRICE CUT - NOW 220 SHIPPED Size: 12F UK/13D US New in box with original shoe bags. Unused, unworn. Last: Grenson's 107 Full leather heel and sole. Price: These retail in England for more than GBP 240. I want USD 220 shipped CONUS These shoes are phenomenal but when I brought them home, my wife said, "You will soon be 60. These shoes should be worn by a younger man!". And she was right. The last is sleek and bold, and people would accuse me of trying to act young. 2. The second pair of shoes is the Grenson 'Ascot' Chukka in a luminous chili or cognac colour. Handmade again, with a Dainite sole. Size: 11.5G UK = 12.5E US New, unused, with original box and shoe bags. This shoe retails for GBP 200. I'm offering it here for USD 210 shipped CONUS. These shoes are really smart -- and the dainite sole let's you wear them to a dressy occasion even if there is rain or snow. The reason I'm selling this is that they are a tad roomy for me in thin socks and I need thicker socks to feel snug. Even that's not a problem, but when I return to Asia next year, that may not be so cool. So, I'm letting 'em go. 3. The third shoe is a brand new Allen Edmonds Slayton in chestnut with leather uppers and soles. This is a wonderfully stylish shoe that I would have kept except for the fact that I just bought a pair of Santoni Brendens which, as a blucher, essentiall fills my complement of casual dress shoes. These weren't sold to me as 'seconds' but judging from the small bump near the eyelets, I'm guessing they are. Size: 12.5D US These retail for $220 but are discontinued. If you find this size, the Allen Edmonds seconds outlet would charge $140 plus shipping. I'm offering these for $110 shipped CONUS. No box or bag. For another $15, I'll through in cedar shoe trees, though. 4. The last pair of shoes is actually my favorite, and its the only one I've actually worn. These are virtually indestructible pebble-grain Walk-Over brogues in a rich, supple cognac colour, a classic American hand-finished shoe that in its hey-day was considered a brand in between the better Florsheims and then the Allen Edmonds. I wore Walk-Over brogues throughout my college years in New York. After five years, I resoled them once but the leather uppers looked like they were ready for another decade! Sadly, the company was sold and the shoes are no longer available. The odd new pair crops up and are sought after by collectors. I'm a 12.5 D but snapped up a new pair of 13s last month. But the same 'thick socks' phenomenon forces me to abandon them. For the US, however, they are perfect. I would really recommend these to a graduate student or academic or a lower budget because they are as smart as Church's and the detailing on the uppers are suggestive of a much more expensive shoe. (See pix). These have been worn a total of 4 times by me so the sole shows a little wear. I'm offering these for $65 shipped COUS with a pair of cedar shoe trees thrown in if you are a student or work in a university. As usual, the first firm PM for each pair gets them. Payment by Paypal. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh how I wish the Grenson boots were a half size smaller! - they look great. I have bought shoes from sidvar and can vouch that he is a quality seller.

Great pictures, my friend, this thread belongs in shoe porn! But seriously, I wish you had somethig for a narrow fit. Is it possible the Grenson derby fits narrow? That is a lovely shoe.

Thegaviero - No, the Grenson derby fits a true D US. It is perfect for someone who wears 12.5 or 13 D.

And thanks for the endorsement - and bump - modmica!

Sid,

The Walkovers are/were beautiful (gave them to a freind/PhD candidate for Christmas). They looked even better than the pics; uppers without scratch or mar, lining/insoles like new, soles in very good condition, and as stylish as sturdy. The color appeared similar to "chili" and it was,...but the pebble grain really added depth and appealing shade variations. I appreciate the accurate representation and the expeditious manner in which they were shipped.

Let me know if you ever have anything similar in 11D (U.S.).

Good show...thank you.
