Uniqlo will tailor them for free for a regular (i.e. visible) stitch, but will do a blind stitch for $5. I opted for the blind stitch and asked the clerk to make sure that the inside allowance on the hem was at least 3" wide (or as tall as it was in the unhemmed pants) because the Uniqlo x Lemaire lookbook description indicated that it was designed so to facilitate rolling the hem up if you wanted. I don't think of the Lemiare look as one that includes rolled hems, but if I thought of it just as a slim luxe sweatpant I wanted that option.

Uniqlo was able to do it for me that way in a two hour turnover, but make sure to ask if you want that done as their standard allowance is probably much less, as the clerk had to make sure that they could accommodate the request, despite it being how the pants were designed.

Maybe that's why the hems are so long, as they were meant to be doubled up once hemmed? Although regardless, they did go a bit too long...

Perfect, thanks for the detailed explanation. I will bring them in and see what they can do. I'm less concerned about extra material but would like the blind stitch. I think less material at the hem may make the taper less aggressive, either way they look much better without a break because the taper is so severe.

I got the flat front 100% cotton "canvas" pants. Really pleased with them. They are certainly crisp, and the top bar has an additional layer just to firm things up. Felt like polyester but not mentioned in the care tag.

Really tapered and bloody long so I gotta get it altered. Uniqlo has an inhouse service which offers free alterations but you have to pay for a blind stitch.

Anyone know the blind stitch is recommended?

i got the flat front cotton pants a few days back
the navy as usual looks black

it is really stiff and hard, i hope it will soften after a couple of washes

since it came originally with blind stitch, i would go for a blind stitch

Waist is 17" across lied flat and about 11.75" front rise

Thigh about 11.5" (if you go from inseam to inseam it is closer to 10.5", but I am measuring across the entire fabric)

Also, it is 18cm

Highly considering a return since too much taper. (If I hem the pants with no break I can maybe get 19cm, which is ideal.)

Put up a review with some fit pics of the Lemaire stuff I got - specifically on the mock neck sweater, sweat pants, and wool blended cashmere flat front pants.  Overall, I think the collection was good in some items but disappointing in others.  Sizing and quality were pretty variable, but at the price and exclusivity a risk I don't know if I'd take again.

You are referring to the "relaxed" cashmere pants? I got a pair of the flat front dress pants in wool/cashmere and hadn't really checked them out too much … I didn't see anything unusual about the hem and was just wondering if I was missing something.

It's the relaxed cashmere pants and there was a huge 3 inch blind hem at the bottom. It was $5 to tailor to a blind stitch (worth it) but they offered to do a regular hem for free.

agreed. due to its stiffness, they fit really badly imo.
