H.N. White - Handmade English Ties - Official Affiliate Thread - Page 31

Just checked today and 2 of the 4 ties I bought late last night are now sold out.  Maybe I got the last ones (patting myself on the back).

Thank you everyone who provided opinions on this thread.  It makes my decision to try a new brand much easier.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks Cleav.  I appreciate your opinion.  You have a lot of great outfit pictures as well as tie pictures on this thread.

US customs got interesting this year.  You used to pay tax on clothing shipments valued over $200USD but in February 2016 (or around that time) they increased the threshold to $800.

I know this as my first direct purchase from Italy was prior to February and got hit with taxes. Not sure why they changed the rule.  I tend not to ask questions that benefit me.

I am looking to stock up on some of the items I buy overseas just in case Trump get nominated because he might want to remove that $800 exemption and pay form dollar.  Hillary could do the same as well....  don't want to turn this into a political thread.

Just want to take advantage of the current system.  Murlsquirl helped me decide to give this one a try.

I decided to bump up my order to 5 ties to take advantage of the fantastic pricing on the orange wool.  At that price why not.  Thank you Harry for adjusting my current order to add the orange tie!  Just in time as it was the last one available.

Looking forward to trying H.N. White ties!

Regards,

Mark

Finally got my ties in. They tie a really beautiful not. They remind me of a nicer version of Ben Silver's ties.

Added a few final bits to the sale including this houndstooth tie made from wool/cashmere John G Hardy cloth. Ties a fantastic knot and has hand rolled tips.

Reduced from £75 to £60
