Perhaps Ernest, you could let me have your thoughts on my previous post. Have you ever rolled up the French cuff shirtsleeves and left the links in? I reccomend it . It is a good look in hot weather .Quite stylish in my view.
Yes I have and I lost a cufflink... Roll up but put your cufflinks in your pocket unless you are in a place where you do NOT move and where you close your cuff before leaving ( so you can know if one is under your seat&#33
Ernest, The Reason you probably lost the link is that you did not close the toggle properly before you folded the cuff back. If you close the toggle properly before doing that, it will not fall out. I have not had this happen to me once in all the years I have worn cufflinks. Can I suggest you have another go following this procedure and I assure you you will not lose a link . Stuart

Will: Good to read you like wearing cufflinks. However you should try and get some novelty links to wear on more casual occasions eg weekends. secondly, on a hot day, do you unfasten the cufflinks and roll the sleeves back? More comfortable on a hot day and you DO NOT need to remove the cufflinks from the cuffs when doing this. I never do. Tom: you Say you only own silk knots . Yes they are nice but it is also good to have metal links as well as they add variety although the colours of the knots do as well. Perhaps a couple of good pairs of Metal links would be useful as well in addtion to the knots. The plus about silk knots is that they sit snugly in the cuffs when the sleeves are rolled back in Hot weather. I am building up a collection of them as I will use them for more casual wear.
