When you watch the Youtube video on how much time and effort it takes
to make the soles of JM Weston shoes, it amazes me that people will put
topper ot other rubber soles on them.

@dahl5yankees  I completely understand your point of view which many share.

 

I often buy or order my shoes with some sort of rubber soles (despite the possible aesthetic and the other losses that sometimes come with this).  This is a very personal choice rooted in an old "trauma."  On the triple sole that I posted, the ridgeway soles were not "added" on top of the original leather soles.  The shoes were specifically ordered with the ridgeway soles rather than the leather soles (This will not justify anything to you, but, it is what happened).
