Artisanal Clothing and accessories discussion (MA+, CCP, Layer-0, Paul Harnden, Taichi Murakami, Boris Bidjan Saberi, etc...) - Page 53

@Auximenes I don't remember. Its been a while since I seen any of those films. I only remembered that InAisce piece specifically cause I have one in blistered leather and chunky wool as well as the Skingraft leather sleeved tan hoodie thing from this train ride scene.

my understanding was that Jona wasn't particularly cool with his clothes appearing in ultra commercial movies and it was more a decision of his (then) business partner, so doubt he'd design anything specific for the movies.

speaking of IA has anyone heard any word on a continuation of the label beyond the women's capsule from last FW?

Last time I spoke to Jona he said he was only doing capsules from here on out. There has been a bit of men's stuff since then as well.

I noticed that hotoveli was stocking a lot of forme d'expression, but it's not a brand I see often on styleforum. Does anyone have experience with them? Are they any good?

yes i have a few things, quality is on par with trendier artisans discussed here, and at a quite lower price point. i find their esthetics quite similar to Lost & Found. L&F seems to go a bit wilder on silhouettes and drape, but both use luxurious fabrics esp for winter. Depending of the fabric it can be quite fragile, not unlike Schneider. Actually i think of them a bit like a darker Schneider, if that makes sense.

Forme SS16 Linen Blazer

Linen jackets are so hot right now.

IS washed linen canvas

PR Patterson linen jacket

If it wasn't 3am I'd take some pics of my Carpe heavy linen sandwich jacket and my Devoa extra heavy washi/linen blend jackets to share too. GOAT fabric.

And all those are like 1k and hard to find?

It's amazing how an average-to-bad day can be completely turned around with the addition of an exceptionally badass blazer.

Really wanna see more PR Patterson in person.. doesn't help that Liberte has photos with the most dramatic lighting possible.

Cool detail on that IS linen canvas blazer that isn't obvious on first inspection - there are two buttons stacked up, and they get larger towards the bottom of the jacket.
