Artisanal Clothing and accessories discussion (MA+, CCP, Layer-0, Paul Harnden, Taichi Murakami, Boris Bidjan Saberi, etc...) - Page 103

Hey guys,

A couple months back I put in a deposit with Pita over at INK clothing for a Size 50 Horsehide Layer-0 Jacket (http://www.ink-clothing.com/en/Man/detail/Layer-0/AUTUMN-WNTER-2015/id=4371).

It should be arriving here soon but I don't really need another leather jacket at this point. Wanted to do an interest check to see if anyone else was interested in taking over the purchase, it would go directly from Layer-0 -> INK -> you.

feel free to send me a PM if so.

No one has because it is sacrilege to do so. BTW, if you have a size 3 in off white I'll buy it off you if you're interested.

ok so i keep looking for tech jackets and not finding anything too great, anyone see something thats lightly lined and withstands wind/rain/ 50/60 degree weather?

By lightly lined, do you mean a technical softshell? If so, maybe start with Arcteryx and Outlier. Acronym offers one or two as well. If you want a hardshell there are a million options, and layering over a warm midlayer is always wise.

Hey Synth... i am trying to avoid just plain non lined windbreaker type items. I'll check the two you mentioned. thanks...

Hey @sinnedk I've had a few pieces from TAD and they've all been really solid and well-made. I still have a merino wool hooded cardigan from about 6 years ago that is wearing like iron. Plus, local guys, cool to deal with.

Show us what you find!

Thanks man... Good to hear that you had a positive experience. A friend has a jacket from them and it's nice so I've been keeping an eye on it. Mostly I just want something versatile with a lining in case of SF rain and stuff. I am going to be bussing and walking a lot more.

Didn't Devoa do a technical jacket for a couple seasons?  You'd also probably find something nice via SISP.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling a brand new Paul Harnden jacket, a Geoffrey B. Small long coat and a L' Maltieri lab coat along with MA+ heavy jersey pant. Please take a look if you have time. They are all been reasonably priced!
