No. That was AQAP.

IS supports have created a twitter # praising the attack, but that doesn't proves anything.

It is hard to call. AQ doesn't usually go after random places and civilians. There's always some kind of symbolism with AQ targets.

There was chatter a while ago about IS sending "warriors" to europe and was planing attacks, which CIA confirmed, so all balls are up in the air.

It doesn't make sense strategically for ISIS to provoke Europe. Jabhat an Nusra has the cover of other Syrian rebels that ISIS doesn't have. But who really knows these people are fucking nuts. My gut says AQ though.

It makes sense in the sense of showing their reach.

They don't get anything out of that. The more Europe feels threatened the more ordinance they're going to send to Syria. AQ, on the other hand, cannot be isolated for bombing in the same way that ISIS can. If you try and bomb AQ in Syria you're going to hit a bunch of other groups with varying interaction with the West and its allies. That's why I say AQ has cover that ISIS does not.

Until a month ago we didn't think they were able to get a bomb on a plane.

This is too sophisticated for ISIS knuckle draggers.

I'm not sure about that, they have also claimed to be behind the Beirut and Bagdad bombings. We have aprox 200 syrian fighters, I know Sweden has 2-3x that and who knows how many there are in France? They could easily be former ISIS fighters, who have come back, they have the weapons training etc.

France is also active in the fight against them, so it could be retaliation like the russian plane, which means the UK and we are next. uhoh.gif

None of those compares to the logistics, coordination, and connections needed to carry out an attack in a European capital. You know al-qa'ida in Arabic just means the database. These guys are organized in a way that ISIS has never been.

They could be evolving, but only time will tell.

Who knows if this is true though.

Are there any major elections about to happen in the EU? If so I think we can safely predict which way the polls just swung.
Sweden might be on its way, for the 3rd time within a year, but the nationalist party is already the biggest party in the polls, so no news there.

The interesting one is going to be Germany, they have an election coming up for "state governors", which has already resulted in a stabbing/murder.
