Isaia 38R, YSL 40R, Romano Martegani 12

OK, so I may at some point get my stuff together and Ebay all this crap that I have sitting around my house, but not today, so... This one's an Enrico Isaia, size 38. Enrico Isaia is the highest-end Isaia label, almost all handmade according to Sator. Measures about 19" shoulder-to-shoulder across the back, about 22" in the sleeves along the top, and 30.5" from the base of the collar to the bottom along the back seam. Side vented, 100% camel. SOLD This coat is by a fine LA men's clothier. It's vintage, but because of the general trad-iness of the store, tough to say how vintage. I will say that it passes the pinch test with flying colors, and is a really spectacularly beautiful coat. The silhouette isn't too boxy, either, as I hope you can see. I measured 21" underarm to underarm, which would make it about a 38-40R. ~30" collar to hem. 19 or so inches across the shoulders, and 25" along the top of the sleeves from the shoulder seam to cuff. The coat's in wonderful shape, perfect lining. I found two very very very small moth nips, neither more than maybe 3mm. They're tough to spot because of the color of the coat, I only saw them while I was photographing. One is on the back, one is on the top pocket flap. I would rate the condition as 8.5/10, though, extremely wearable in any situation. If you disagree, ship it back and I'll give you your money back. I can't tell you how badly I wanted this coat. I thought about losing weight just to wear it. I really want this one to have a good home. $45 shipped? This second one is by Yves Saint Laurent. It's *not* vintage, and as far as I can tell is actually manufactured by YSL, not by some licensee like YSL menswear was for many years. Rive Gauche is the line that was designed by Tom Ford, though I'm not sure if this piece was, as I don't know what year it's from. The quality is fantastic, and the cut is spectacular. Hopeful the picture of my fat gut protruding from the coat will give you some idea of the beautiful shape. It's half-lined as you can see, made in Italy, really lovely. One nice feature is a little button in the sleeves with a little toggley type of deal; you can see it in the photo where I'm wearing the coat. The YSL is about 19 1/2" from shoulder to shoulder across the back, and 31" or 32" from the base of the collar to the bottom along the back center seam. 21" armpit to armpit across the back. 19.5 or so across the back at about, uhm, nipple height. Condition is as new, no damage or wear I can find. $100 shipped, or both the vintage and YSL coat for $125. I'm happy to provide more measurements if anyone needs/wants them. Also! These shoes are brand new, with their box, trees and bags (though the box is a bit beat up from shipping. Size 12 US, but just a bit big for me. They were sold to me as new seconds, but I honestly cannot find any defect. They're f'ing beautiful but the guy who I bought them from didn't have any in a size down, so I'm outta luck. The third pic best represents the color, which is really rich and lustrous in person. I was blown away by the shoes when I opened the box, and crushed when they slipped off my heel. Posted them on Ebay, .99 no reserve five day auction.

I've had some good thrift scores lately... I only wish I'd found anything this good in my size the last few weeks

Luckily this joint is full of people who are littler than me

The Isaia jacket...can the sleeves be let out at all? And what does the chest measure? I normally wear size 40 but based on the shoulder measurement, this may fit me.
Thanks.

Thanks.

There're about 2 1/2" inside the cuff, counting both what's inside and outside the lining.

As far as the chest, I don't have a form or any measuring expertise, but measuring flat around the third button, I can get about 21" (42, doubled, obviously), which may be big enough for a size 40. I kind of want to emphasize that I'm not a tailor, so I'm doing my best on the measurements.

I realized I've still got this coat sitting around, too. It's a Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, size 42R.

$35 and it's shipped to your door.

That YSL jacket is really nice, and a steal for the price. I am pretty sure it's from the autumn winter 2005 collection.
Is it 'as green' as it appears in the close-ups?

I'm glad someone could put a finger on the collection... honestly I think it's nicer than the Isaia (which was/is very nice). It's definitely the one I most wish fit me , a killer piece.

The color is very green, but a little darker than it appears in the photo, because of a little fill flash. You can see pretty well in the photo that the color is actually a bit variegated throughout from a little lighter to a little darker.

I can't be certain, but I think this jacket could be the one in the attached photo.

There is a similar brown one on yoox, currently at £300. If yours was brown I would have been all over it, but that green is not something I would be comfortable in. (even though I do like it)

What material is the YSL jacket? If it were a size smaller, I would have taken it off your hands.

I can't find a materials tag, but it feels like wool, or maybe a wool cashmere blend. It has a really nice hand for being a kind of loose, tweedy weave.
