Well, in the beginning you guys were determinate and wanted to stick with the front facing zippers and now suddenly rear faced zippers are an option. So, I would have opted for rear facing zippers, but I was told that it is not possible and to respect that choice. I did respect that and ordered, but here we go.

Front zippers are not a deal breaker and I quite like them. Just a bit pissed off.

@charly or dan, what thickness of lamb do you guys use? The old TOJ lamb was approx. 1.2-1.3 mm, and there have been reports that the Falcon lamb feels lighter and thinner compared to the TOJ lamb.

Dan stated its 1.3mm, and 1.4mm can be requested.  What is actually used is at question. Has anyone explicitly requested for 1.4mm at the point of order and received it?

All hides will have a certain amount of grain and scaring but I will select all the hides initially and our tailors will ensure leather quality is up to par otherwise it gets returned back to the vendor.  Nothing gets cut if it looks like crumpled up shit.  We lose out as well so we ALWAYS look for hides with the best finish and consistency.

Cheers!

Enough demand ($$$) can make anyone change their minds.

I incorrectly speculated that front facing zips was compulsory as to ensure a way to prevent them getting into any IP issues with dickhead drew.

My understanding is that the 1.4mm is specifically for calf:

It's well established that lamb is not really a riding leather.

Front-quarter horse hide?

I'm with sweeet on this one. It's a minor complaint, but still a little disappointing to see rear facing zips being offered after I had already ordered.

Just a heads up:

We're getting rid of the midsection measurements as we find it pretty pointless to have.

Shoulders, chest, waist are most important. The mid should be what it is from the natural flow from the chest to waist.

Thanks!

Thanks for the rear-facing zippers.   That was the one thing holding me back.

Also, gunmetal zippers will be awesome when you get them.
