Fit opinions please on the length of my MA-1, before I place additional orders (like a persian blue suede MA-1).

The length of this (stock 35) is longer than the other current jackets I own, but I consider it still within my range of approriate fit. The question is....for future orders, is it more optimal for me to go a little bit shorter like the length of my ToJ A2 (~1" shorter)?

MA-1: front 21.8" back 24.2"
A2: front 21.0" back 23.3"

pictures of other jackets for reference, progressively shorter

The MA-1 length looks good on you. If the length were any longer, I'd say it'd be too long.

And if you're going to order another jacket, I'd say go for the A2 length since that seems to look best on you.

Is your MA-1 wool or nylon?

black nylon, wanted some wind/water resistance

how tall are you?

Fit on the MA-1 is perfect.

I personally prefer a looser fit (for layering purposes), but that's another story.

A-2 fit is my favorite of those, but all work.

I agree - they all work in their own way.

Just received my olive MA-1 in the mail today. Made my sleeves a tad too trim but here's a reference for the length.

Would FG consider offering horsehide?

Any pics of the Falcon CWU besides the ones on the site?

was actually able to wear my v2 out for the first time today and the armholes are really noticeably high, though i guess i got used to it by the end of the day

i'm pretty sure that it has to do with how the jacket is designed rather than its measurements, since my a-2 has the same sleeve/arm measurements but doesn't have the same problem

but yeah, thought i'd mention it again for any prospective buyers out there

really lovely jacket otherwise

Hi friends I have a question about a TOJ moto 2011 in black lamb I received approximately a year ago. It feels a tad dry in places and I was wondering what should be done to maintain the leather of the jacket. Should I be conditioning the leather or something and if so what is a recommended product?

I recommend lexol on lamb. I apply a little to an area and rub around briefly with a cloth. once i've covered the whole jacket, i rub briefly with a new cloth to absorb any extra lexol and hang up overnight.

Quick update:

We're working on F/W drops at the moment.

Be on the lookout for some old coats to make return with a refresh.

There will also be some new models joining the fray. Gore-tex anorak and a greatcoat to name a couple. Also, some tailored wear might be on the menu.

Stay tuned.
