Why so? Just curious. I also own a FQHH jacket and I can't really think of any other situation that I would wear it than casually...

Of course both jackets can only be worn casually. What I meant by the word casually is that because the jacket is so heavy, it feels like a huge effort to put it on, walk around in it, etc. I can't just "casually" throw it on during a 10 min trip to the grocery store. I could with a lighter sweater made of cotton or wool, or even this Falcon lamb. But with the FQHH, it takes effort to even get it on and go for a walk in it. Perhaps the word "easily" should have been used instead of "casually."

am i supposed to be measuring from the black line, the blue one, or the purple one to its opposite end on my other shoulder? or are none of those correct?

Never seen a shoulder like that before…are you excruciatingly, super model thin? Have you been recently released after a long incarceration? Perhaps you are partial to the smoking opium?

For me neither of those arrows is right…..correct point falls exactly in the middle of the blue and purple arrows.

i'm 125 lbs. @ 5'8, so i guess i'm skinny, yeah (is that considered "excruciatingly" thin, though? i've never weighed over 130 in my entire life, so i have like no reference for this type of thing)

i took that pic with my phone, so maybe the angle is making my shoulder look weird?

anyway, i found the old pic i used in the other thread and re-edited it a bit (the posture is more natural and the pic was taken front-on):

so would i be measuring from the orange lines, the blue, or the purple? or none of them?

Between purple and blue

You need to eat more and start exercising. Even pushups, pullups, body weight squats with an extra 1000 calories a day would go a long way in 18 months.

wtf? he doesn't need to do anything he was asking for sizing, not lifestyle advice

Well... he is the person that was skipping actual meals and eating safeway cookies so he could get a TOJ.

Wait what?

In the TOJ thread awhile back the kid mentioned how he'd been saving money for a leather by subsisting entirely or in part on Safeway cookies.  Can't remember if he was springing for the sale cookies or buying at retail, however.

hate how this cookie thing is the only thing i'm known for (and i'm 25, dude; you best be in your late 40s or something to be calling others "kid" on this site)

regardless, i basically just cheap out on food (specifically mentioned the cookies safeway bakes themselves in the other thread; at $5 for 50 of them, they're a steal!) so that i have more spending money for fashunz or other dumb things that i wanna buy

is it healthy? no

is it stupid? probably

do i care, though? naaah, not at this point in my life

i actually don't even eat breakfast anymore (i only eat dinner nowadays; sometimes a snack a few hours before dinner too)

the only ill effect that has come from this is that i am now really susceptible to food comas

as i mentioned, i've always been around this weight in my life (even when i was the type to eat regularly throughout the day; have a fast metabolism), so it really hasn't made that much of an impact on my life

and i know that this might sound crazy, but i don't actually enjoy eating (usually)

if anything, the feeling of an empty stomach makes me feel nimble (i enjoy walking a lot) and your breath stays fresher the longer you don't eat (i'm particular about my dental hygiene)

eating three or more times a day is a cultural thing, anyway, and i know i'm not the only person like myself who does this type of thing

now i'd ask you guys to get off my dick about the thing since it even follows me outside of the falcon and toj threads, but i know that a lot of forum goers/internet people are really into meme-y, trite humor, so i know it wouldn't do anything

just wanted to clarify for those who didn't know what they were talking about

but anyway, if i could just get a few more comments on where the measuring point on my shoulder is supposed to be, that'd be greeeeeat

really, really appreciate the two dudes who commented already (just want more to weigh in for confidence's sake is all)

halfway between blue and purple. just feel for where the bone protrudes out.

also, i found my breath smells worse if i don't eat for extended periods of time, but ymmv. i always have mints or gum on hand ~_~;

I'd say a touch wider than the blue line. Don't mind all the folks poking fun at you. Everyone's shoulders have some curve to them, so it's not an exact science of how to measure. Also, a lot of people on this forum obsess over the smallest measurement adjustments. 0.25" here or there isn't going to make a jacket go from shitty to great. Do your best to be accurate, and it's most likely good enough.

The cookie thing is seriously getting old. Lay off the guy already.

Relax, cupcake.  I was responding to the guy who wondered what the reference was all about.  The kid can do whatever he wants to do, it's his money.
