Where is it morally/ethical right for government or a group of people to decide your rights? These two are always changing, so they can not be legitimate in these matters. Being dependant upon law enforcement is not dependable. When law enforcement shows up two to three hours later that is not true law enforcement. And if you call 911 and they tell you, "We don't care if they beat you up. We don't care if they kill you. Hang up. We're not going to help you.", (That's what I got one time when I called police). Government is not a magic bullet. Personal responsibility really never goes away. And the gun really is the ever'ner. Government never has the legitimate right to take away your access to safety.
