Pretty much my cutoff. I really don't have
a strong gun control stance .If people really want their guns that bad ,well they got em; and Im pretty sure it'll stay that way but the idea that enough Americans are going to agree on anything enough to to form a serious armed uprising against their democratically elected government is ludicrous.When pro gun advocates resort to this argument they effectively place themselves in the right wing nutball camp and create a position that is so fantastically paranoid they nothing they say is taken seriously
Most of them aren't considering fighting the US military on a battlefield. They want individual members of congress to fear for their lives. Whether or not you understand it, an armed populace is a deterrent of sorts. There would be a secession before there would be a civil war in the US.
