That's Bullshit.

Here's some data that refutes that limp dick claim.

facepalm.gif Really?? Can you please point to some historical examples that didnt result in the impoverishment of the subjects, er, citizens?

Your thought process fascinates me.

Was there a state/country where state actual took guns away from people and it worked?

I live in a country where there never was a large number of people that had access to guns and gun crime is very low, I guess you can't compare that to USA. So I mean can disarming be actually effective and do homicide and gun crime rates really drop after that>?

Australia did a pretty good job on confiscating everyone's guns with what seems to be minimal complication. I'm not sure how it affected crime stats though.

None of the studies show any appreciable effect but there are still over 800,000 licensed gun owners  and between 3.5 to 5.5 million registered guns in a population of 23 million

Japan sniped in, conflated climate change and gun control, praised Marxism and then - like that - was gone.

I reckon he'll be back towards Halloween. foo.gifmarchal.gif

We are incapable of keeping whole entire people, truckloads of people, 30 million people, out of the country.

The US would have absolutely no hope of eradicating guns, even if the citizens wanted to be disarmed and subject to tyrannical Clintons.

Ironic, since Sweden recently opened a rape counseling center for men IIRC.

Soon we here in TX may bring our smoke wagons onto college campuses. I wonder if this will change the amount of rapes on campus?
The first professor to say, not in my classroom, has spoken up way out in West Texas.

Whats a smoke wagon?

I have a vision of a family van used for smoking weed.

Chile under Pinochet...

I think you mean Allende. The "General" _____s are typically always fascist.

Yes and no. Living standards fell under Allende before Pinochet and his buddies fucked things up even more.

Oh, how I do love your pseudo-intelligence, Piobaire. Ever wonder that perhaps Sweden's culture makes women feel more empowered to report rapes (seeing as it's one of the most underreported crimes)? Just a theory mind--I'm sure you can pseudo-explain your way out of it, though, so I'm not too worried about you.

'Among the 27 developed countries, there was a significant positive correlation between guns per capita per country and the rate of firearm-related deaths (r = 0.80; P <.0001).'

&

'Regardless of exact cause and effect, however, the current study debunks the widely quoted hypothesis that guns make a nation safer.'

Gun ownership to gun-related deaths is what we're talking about, isn't it? Like I said, avoiding the science is a dumb thing to do.
