Prolly Trudeau. But he's just handsomest. They're all pretty interchangeable w the grey/black suit + white shirt thing all politicians do. Mulcair gets to wear the nifty commie orange tie "to pop in summer" of course.

There are of course 4 significant national party leaders in Canada. Elizabeth May of the Greens wiped the floor with the three boys at the first debate, which is exactly why she won't be taking part in any of the others.

I don't think Canadians pay any attention to how the party leaders dress. Harper's attempt to ridicule Trudeau's hair really backfired though, because it's caused more people to realise how freaking weird Harper's is. Harper is generally is one of the world's creepiest leaders. And his dress sense is appalling - those sweaters...

Interestingly, there's a Sikh Ontario MPP who dresses in Saville Row suits (I believe it's Norton and Sons):

Smart stylish dude. Too bad some white hicks bullied him into social democracy when he was young. Obv Savile Row best "befits" the party of business and sensible policy where success isn't a dirty word. ie kinda a nonfit w the NDP socialist principles on price tag alone

Harper's signature look - dumpy, pasty, terrible hair, outta fashion glasses, humorless expression - is just the gift that keeps on giving for Justin & Mulcair.

Sorry to disappoint you but there's plenty of us on the 'socialist menace' end of the political spectrum who wear bespoke and like to support skilled craftspeople as opposed to exploitative 'fast fashion'...

In the socialist paradise of the future, bespoke will be for everyone!

Less of a "menace" in my mind BTW more of a "delusion" balance sheet speaking, which is a delusion I'd imagine most folks who can afford bespoke don't indulge in.

That being said I'd give a thumbs up to even a communist party politician if they were rocking a nice rig

Haha I dunno about that..Uncle Joe had kind of a flap pocket fetish when he wasn't a super grand admiral marshal 7star everything. The true commies kept it real for awhile w the little peasant smock farmer uniform. I think Deng switched the PRC over to suits. North Korea still keeps it real.

Your point probably applies best to the French lefty politicians for many many decades.

NDP is no longer socialist. Interesting that FlyingMonkey called Harper creepy, not the vibe I get off him. Harper has also gone tie less in some appearances recently.

You don't think so? Obviously, they've rebranded themselves, but I think there policy positions are still the fairly socialist (and that's not a bad thing) ones that Layton set up, and Mulcair looks to be following. It'll be hard to tell for sure till the manifesto comes out, but still.

... and Harper does look pretty creepy. I don't think it's fault, though. It's just how he looks. I have yet to see a completely flattering photo of him.
