Even disregarding the issue of public education and its (in)effectiveness... how does any semiconscious person survive to adulthood and not just pick up the fact that the earth is NOT FLAT all on her own?

Well, the world certainly appears flat from inside a church or all you can eat buffet, which is where she seems to spend most of her time.

OK, so she is not book smart but she is street smart!

One thing I will say, though, I DO know that the Earth is (close to) spherical, that there were religions predating Christianity, and that the the history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.

Is that true?
