Editing an eBay auction

I've found that I'm unable to add text to a pair of shoes I'm selling on eBay. Auction ends in ~9 hours...anyone know why this is?

You cannot edit an auction with less than 12 hours remaining or a bid on the item (I believe). If there is a bid with more than 24 hours, you can only add to the description.

When revising an eBay item, you should see two boxes, one box with your description and another blank box. You add to the blank box. I added to an auction with 8 hours remaining last night and it added to the description as an addendum. It let me do it I imagine because the auction had no bids.

Are you trying to turn the C&J auction into a J&M auction at the last minute?
