Hello all,

I wonder if any of you guys have any hints on how to grow and mantain (care, trim) a beard. I'm the "owner" of a medium beard but since mine's not very regular (some blank spots here and there), I thought maybe there were some techniques around that could help it to be fuller with time (with specific trimming, modeling, etc.).

Hope you have any ideas and looking forward to share experiences regarding beard care.

Best,
g.alt

Eat a healthy diet, including vitamins and minerals. Get enough sleep. Lift weights. (We're talking good testosterone.) Keep the beard neat, of course. Still, if there are holes from alopecia areata or the color isn't great, a beard probably isn't worth the effort.

You might find this beard care routine "walkthrough" helpful.

I don't do all of the steps myself, but I don't think that's the point either. I found it helpful to read through it and see what the different products are intended to be used for and then pick and choose what I need.

Are you a Redditor? There are some great beard subreddits as well. r/beards and r/beardtalk come to mind.

Going back and looking at this again, it seems like I didn't really answer your question, and it's more about actually encouraging the hair to grow more fully, right?

Sorry about that. In that case, I second what mensimageconsultant said. There are some various vitamins and beard washes that say they help promote hair growth but I'm pretty skeptical of them personally.

Beards are source of pride for men. But it can be tough if it is not in the genes. However one can try other safe and natural options like starting regular exercise, lift weights, go for a jog or a fast walk, eat healthy food containing vitamins and proteins, apart from that, one may use beard growth products like beard oils, beard vitamins to enhance beard hair growth. Home remedies like applying castor oil or almond oil daily will also be helpful and effective for a long term. I hope this sums up for you!
