I am currently convinced that the quintessential shoe that is necessary in one's wardrobe is the dark brown suede oxford. Unfortunately, there are very few options available on the market currently. I have inquired multiple outlets, and for some reason, they have no plans to reproduce this model at all for next season--let alone on the Rain last. Carmina hits the sweet spot for me in terms of price to quality ratio, especially with the current exchange rate if you're in the U.S.

I have heard whispers of interest, so I got in touch with Skoaktiebolaget, and they graciously responded with their policy:

Here are the details:

I am proposing a model like this:

I prefer the first and if it would have been 2 months ago I would have been in. I think I'll have to wait for the Euro's X-rate to recover before making any purchases in SEK.

Welcome aboard! I think we are interested in the dark brown AKA chocolate suede. Whether there is a subset underneath these, I do not know yet. Anyway, so far I believe we are leaning towards the Adelaide (option 3 in the OP).

Obviously before we get going with Skoak we all have to agree on a makeup.

In for either option 1 or 2, not keen on an adelaide at all.

Thanks Murl. Apologies for the misstep.

As far as Adelaide vs. not, I am in for whichever we get 6 for first! I do think that options 1 and 2 would be more versatile as well, but I am one of those heathens that plan to wear these with cotton trousers and jeans from time to time. I will find out more info on specific dark brown colors.

As far as I know, Carmina only has one type of dark/chocolate brown suede. It looks closer to pictures 2 and 3 in real life, although I think picture 1 is the same colour but under different lighting. Their other brown suede offerings are tobacco, snuff, and polo - none of which are close to a dark/chocolate brown.

Great. That makes one less thing to debate. Now we if we could all agree on a design. What about soles? I prefer the Dainite. Maintains dressiness while being rugged.

I'm fine with any soles, no snow/ ice/ salt in Seattle, nothing like New England.
