Its a very WASPy program.

Is this based on that young adult book series that high school girls read pseudo-ironically?

Wait, you're a member of purseforum?

I love this show.

So much better than the unwatchable OC

and I think Blake Lively is a cutie, in a real life you could meet this girl kind of way

Looks like it's a "hit" for WB so I'm confident we'll be seeing a few more seasons of it.

Yes.

The Thanksgiving dinner was awkward.

Never seen it. Doesn't "Gossip Girl" describe all girls?

Nope, but you should look at the thread in the streetwear forum. I think whodini and Bradford are now members (I think they're also members of stripperweb).

Yeah its based on the book series aimed at "young adults" (like totally at teen girls).

Now your opinions on home defense make perfect sense to me!

Yes and yes. I joined the purse place because otherwise you can't see the pics of the women that were being discussed here... and I joined SW because... otherwise you can't see the pics

Despite that, I have no idea what the show is that is being discussed in this thread. Anyone care to fill in those of us who are clueless? What is this show, what channel is it on and what is it about?

This review sucks though, basically it's some sort of school dramedy about rich Upper East Side girls and boys and lots of bitchiness and backstabbing ensues. Writing is quite good and it's filmed on location. Gossip girl is the name of a mysterious blogger who publishes the dirt about this demi-monde and that's often where the characters learn that, say; their boyfriend was seen with another chick (the slut!!!). The series starts when Serena (main character and society darling/it-girl) is sighted coming back to NYC after a mysterious one year stint at a private school in bumfuck Iowa (or wherever she was that wasn't NYC). You'll slowly discover why she left and all the entangled relationships that are the series bread and butter. The first eps has a girl texting for help while she's fending of a date-rapist, so I'm pretty sure no sane person can dislike it.

I quite like it. It's helped me cope with the loss of Veronica Mars, although I wish Kristin Bell were on the other side of the camera

There's some pretty good fashion in the show as well.
