Oh, and @Synthese has gotten the samples.  So we are going to see what he and @spacepope can do together,

I also want to stress that this is the SS version, not the winter version, of the jacket.  This means that it's suitable for fall and spring wear.  It's reasonably heavy and wind resistant, but it's not super warm either, which means that you can wear it earlier in the fall and later into the spring, but unless you are one of those guys who are impervious to cold, you'll want something else on underneath.

Just another question on this.  Since it's overdyed twice, will this be prone to bleeding black on things at all?

I handled them with no issues, but as for all overdyed products, I would give a blanket warning about color transfer. The dye is a penetrating dye, and not a surface dye, though, so if you are worried about transfer,  If you wash them gently before washing, you should be able to get rid of the bulk of any dye left on the surface.

That said, you can waterproof them like any cotton product.

These are made from tents that soldiers slept outdoors in, right? I'm sure they can withstand a decent amount of water

Yes, probably that's true, but it's not a factor I'd bet the bank on. It's not waxed cotton.

@Synthese and @spacepope are apparently doing some modeled shots of the pieces today.  Look out for pics here.

wow, way to pick the two least capable guys possible.  I mean... did you see how Synth tried to style me?  And let's not begin with how he dresses himself

Like an Eagle Scout?  You have to remember that he's from Colorado.  They are really into that type of stuff out there.

Well, @spacepope and I spent a couple hours up in the hills, and hopefully you guys like the results. Fok and I took our sweet time choosing which pieces we wanted to do for this mini-collection (dare I say...this curated capsule collection?) and I think the results are exactly what we were both hoping for. Big thanks to Jack for posing and stuff. There's a little less than a month left to preorder, so get on it. I heard u liek pockets.

Most excellent.  It looks like you caught @spacepope in the middle of a bathroom break here:
