PRICE CUTS >>>>> PRICE CUTS >>>>> PRICE CUTS

As my other sales items head off to eBay, I have some brand new stock to tempt you. Including some CONTROVERSIAL items....

1) 38R NWT RL Polo navy suit - $550 NOW $450

A classic, well-made business suit at a highly competitive price. Subdued, restrained pattern in 100% wool. Stealthy chic. Full retail would be around $1500 with my asking price a mere $550.

Jacket

- stylish Polo IV cut
- 3 button
- single breasted
- double/side vents
- 2 flap pockets, ticket pocket & standard welted breast pocket
- 3 inside pockets

- shoulder seam - shoulder seam: 18.25"
- chest circumference: 41"
- length from base collar: 31.25"
- crown-cuff: 25.75" (+1.25")

Trousers

- double forward pleats
- 2 hook, tab/button & zip fly closure
- 2 button-through back pockets
- 2 standard side pockets
- side adjusters

- internal waist: 31" (+2")
- cuff diameter at 34" inside leg: 8.75" (17.5" circumference)
- full unhemmed length

2) 38R NWT RL Black Label anthracite-grey glen plaid jacket - $299 NOW $250

Modern and elegant. It's one of my most popular items for a reason! 98% wool, 2% cashmere. Full disclosure - this is part of a mismatched suit I recieved (trousers for sale later in this thread). However, I think the pattern works just great as a sportcoat and the extra low asking price reflects the fact it was originally part of a suit.

- tagged 38R
- single breasted
- peak lapels
- 2 buttons
- 2 vents
- 2 flap pockets & standard welted breast pocket
- 3 inside pockets, one with button closure
- 4 sleeve buttons (non-functional, but lining is ready for them to be made functional once the length is adjusted to be 100% perfect for you)

- shoulder seam - shoulder seam: 18"
- chest circumference: 41.75"
- length from base of collar: 30.5"
- crown-cuff: 25" (+0.25")

3) 42R NWT RL Black Label BLACK suit - $699 NOW $599

Yes, a BLACK SUIT for sale in SF (those familiar with the long-standing argument in the men's clothing forum over their propriety with understand the controversy)! You know what, I like this one - modern, sharp cut, great wool serge material. Great for a night out or the Christmas party.

Jacket

- tagged 42R
- single breasted
- notch lapels
- 2 buttons
- 2 vents
- 2 flap pockets & standard welted breast pocket
- 3 inside pockets, one with button closure
- 4 sleeve buttons (non-functional, but lining is ready for them to be made functional once the length is adjusted to be 100% perfect for you)

- shoulder seam - shoulder seam: 19"
- chest circumference: 45"
- length from base of collar: 31"
- crown-cuff: 25.5" (+0.5")

Trousers

- 2 button and zip fly closure
- belt loops
- flat fronts
- 2 back pockets, with button closure
- 2 standard side pockets
- full unhemmed length to guarantee a perfect break

- internal waist: 36.5" (+1.5")
- cuff diameter at 34" inside leg length: 9" (18" circumference)
- full unhemmed length

4) 44R NWT RL Black Label black velvet jacket - $399 NOW $350

Fabulous 100% cotton velvet jacket in the modern, stylish Black Label cut. The nap on the jacket is rich and deep - it looks the business. Wear it with dark jeans or trousers for an awesome night look... maybe even as a tux alternative. Selling at a deep discount of about a quarter retail price.

- crown-cuff: 25.5" (+0.5")

5) size 38 NWOT RL Black Label anthracite-grey glen plaid trousers - $99 NOW $75 SOLD, pending payment

A great pair of trousers suitable for both business casual and smart casual wear. Full disclosure - these are the other half of the mismatched suit I received (see item 2 above). As such, they don't have a separate tag attached, so technically they are NWOT rather than NWT. I assure you these are unworn and brand new (as proven by the unfinished hems). However, given the lack of an actual tag attached to them, I'm offering this item at a massive discount!

- flat fronts
- 2 hook, button and zip fly closure
- side adjusters
- 2 back pockets, with button closure
- 2 standard side pockets
- full unhemmed length to guarantee a perfect break

- internal waist circumference: 39" (+2" to let out if needed)
- cuff diameter at 34" inside leg length: 9.25" (18.5" circumference)
- full unhemmed length

Shipping for suits is $50 worldwide, $25 in the UK - includes online tracking, insurance and signature on delivery. Jackets and trousers on their own are half price shipping.

PM me with any questions and your choices!

Holdfast-

You got a 38 jacket with 38 pants? That's a very small drop

Yeah, yeah, very funny.

I wasn't paying attention. Will teach me in future to check what I'm buying and not to trust they're matched correctly! I could return it for a refund since it wasn't what I paid for... but actually, the pattern works damn well as separates for business casual in my opinion.

The jackets would rock with an ecru shirt and dark charcoal/black trousers. Also probably any solid-colour trousers in the dark earth-colour spectrum.

The trousers could be paired with loads of different shirts and odd jackets. Pale blue shirt, russet tie and olive sportcoat might be one option, off the top of my head. Extremely versatile.

So I thought I'd see if I get a bite for them as separates here first, before returning them.

Wonderful items...albeit to small. I certainly appreciate the reference to the "Black Suit" brouhaha. After reading numerous reputable SF repudiations I almost sacked by solid black twill Armani...until I realized how acute are the standards. Emblazon that black suit I would and dare them to protest.

Tally ho.

Personal dimensions (roughly):
Shirt: 17.5 - 18
Suit / Sport Coat: 50L
Overcoat: 52-54L
Pants: 36-40

Beautiful items...any chance you'll get a full RLBL suit in a 38R?

Sooner or later, I will, I'm sure. Can't predict when though.

If you like, I can add you to my PM mailing list for when I get new stock in. The list is getting pretty long (>30 members), so I can't personalise it for everyone's individual sizes but it's the quickest way of letting people know when I get new stock in. Generally, it's 2-3 PMs a month so you won't get swamped in spam. Let me know if you want to be added.

You get an "A" on clothing selection and an "F" on geometry. The diameter of a circle with a circumference of 17.5 inches is approximately 5.57 inches, and the circumference of a circle with a diameter of 8.75 inches is approximately 27.48 inches. But how many geometry students pay attention to the width of their trouser legs anyway?

Holdfast, any suits in 36? Thanks !luc

That black velvet jacket is amazing! One of those times I really regret having spent my budget (and then some) on clothes this month.

I never realised it, but you're right. Of course, what I mean (and what I think is generally understood by the term), is that the cuffs are 8.75 across, for a total circumference of 17.5". I've seen this called diameter before, but you're quite right, it isn't really a diameter... what WOULD be the right term for it?

Width doesn't really work, because then people skimming the information might read that to mean the height of finished hems/turn-ups. (yes, it would be bizarrely dimensioned, but people skim-reading can get weird impressions and I want to avoid that). I guess I could just use the word "across"?

Thanks for your kind grading on clothing selection!

No at the moment, but if you like, I could add you to the aforementioned the PM list too? Or just keep your eyes peeled in here for my next stock arrivals.

So, I said to the teacher, when would I ever use geometry anyway? It is not like I am going to be selling clothes or something!
