ooh okay i'll check that out as well, hows the size for those? i was looking to get the ones w/ the cinch too, i wear around 31 nudies... how much do they stretch?

I forget if I wear 30 or 31 in Nudies, it's been a while since i bought a pair, but I got the Edwins in 29 and they fit just right. they do stretch a bit since the denim is lightweight (11oz iirc). I would get 2 down from whatever you think you want the waistband to be (I wanted a true waist of 31 so the 29 fit best)

+1 on the stretching, at least with the 11 oz. I got a pair of cinch-back straight-leg 505s in Tokyo (with back pocket and coin pocket exposed selvage; I like the latter but I'm kind of meh about the former). They went from being pretty snug (such that I had to put a rubber band around the zipper and the button to keep the fly from coming partway open, which is an issue when the material next to the zipper is bright orange) to being loose enough that they don't stay on without a belt. I get a lot of compliments on them, but people around here also tend to have terrible taste, so I'm not sure whether that's a plus or a minus. They've been great during the deathly hot summer we've been having, at the very least.

^ How much exactly did they stretch out by? I've got a pair of 505s that I kopped from a local shop sale and I can't decide whether to keep or sell. Leaning towards selling though.

Slightly off-topic, but this seemed like the most appropriate thread to post it in.

Last week, I picked up a pair of the 505zx jeans (Regular Straight, one wash, cinch back, selvage on watch pocket but not back pockets). I can definitely vouch for the vanity sizing: I normally take a 32 in the waist, but the 30" were the best fit in that regard. Denim is 13.75 ounces, and feels pretty substantial as mass-market oriented jeans go. As of now, they're pretty stiff, but not uncomfortable. A bit of stretching at the hips and thighs would not be entirely unwelcome, though. I'll see how they stretch out, if at all, as I wear them.

But to keep the thread vaguely on topic, I suppose I would be able to act as a proxy for the more desperate Edwin buyers, but I need to put some research into things like pricing and shipping rates before I commit to anything.
