The Kent Wang Wedding Photo Contest

The Deal:

Don your finest wedding-day duds and post your best pictures! Submit your photos by Monday, August 03, and win a brand new Kent Wang “Bauhaus” watch. Note that pictures of you at a wedding, particularly your own wedding, are perfect and valid for this contest. Mazeltov!

The Details:

You get three - count ‘em, three - images. Use them however you want, but one of them has to be of your full outfit, tips-to-toes.

The photos have no expiration date. You really want to post your baby blue polyester suit from 1974? Go ahead, but don’t expect to win (publisher's note: totally expect to win). Pictures from any wedding will suffice, whether it’s your own or someone else’s. Don’t have any wedding pictures? What will you be wearing to your weddings this summer? As long as it’s a photo, it’s all good.

Post your photos in this thread. Remember, you get 3 pictures tops. Whichever post gets the most “likes” will be the winner of a brand new Kent Wang “Bauhaus” watch.
In the even of a tie, whoever showcases the best use of Kent Wang products in their photos will be crowned the victor. If the polls remain deadlocked, Styleforum Management reserves the right to pick the winner.

The Deadline:

You have until 5 PM Eastern Time on August 3 to submit your entries. The winner will be announced in the August edition of the Styleforum Brief, so keep your eyes on your inbox!

Get to it, Styleforum - there’s a reason we’re the best-dressed forum out there. Our honor is at stake!

From my wedding last year, wearing a Kent Wang glen plaid tie (and silver knot links). Suit is by Mr. Ned, but unfortunately a couple of years old so didn't fit perfectly. Thanks to styleforum members for dissuading me from wearing a chalk stripe suit!

Looking good, chaps. It's good to see so many wedding ties, keeping that noble tradition alive.

In addition to this contest, we also offer $20 store credit for your photos featuring Kent Wang wares.

I was trying to emulate traditional British morning dress but wanted it to be practical and reusable--swapped a navy suit for the morning coat and cashmere striped trousers.

1) St. Louis is miserable in the summer. I commend your bravery in wearing a suit.
2) I like the picture above. It's obvious that everyone is having a good time, and that your friends are obviously not uptight about what their guests are wearing.

Pictures 1 and 2.
- Cream suit by Hemranjani (VBC, I think). Blue bow tie from Brooks Bros outlet to match her hair (not easily seen in the picture). Lavender shirt also from Hemrajani. Square from Brooks Bros. Socks from Macy's, mid-calf unfortunately. Shoes are J. Fitzpatrick Greenwood x Dandy Shoe Care collaboration, with a purple->green gradient patina (not quite as visible in these pictures, but I don't have the others yet.

Picture 3.
- Dinner suit also by Hemrajani, VBC cloth. Grosgrain facing and I had him make matching cummerbund and tie. Shirt is Hemrajani, Thomas Mason Silver I believe, swiss pleats. Square is Brooks Bros linen. Shoes are the "flashy" part of the outfit - Allen Edmonds blue Times Square, a webgem from a few years back. Patent full brogue with blue stitching. I replaced the blue laces with ones I made from some grosgrain material I picked up at a local fabric store. Not really shown in the picture: Hematite cufflinks, Marcoliani OTC silk socks (via Kent Wang), and white moire Thurston braces (via Kent Wang).
