LA Guy,
I just placed my vote for the Hopper engineer. Please confirm that my vote and prepayment went through ok as I frequently run into problems with online payments from here. Thankx.

Hi man,

You should get an automatic invoice generated that is sent to your email. If you can email to [email protected], though, I can take a look for you. Unfortunately, unless your screen name and your real name are the same, or you've bought a dozen pairs of boots or so and are also active on the forum, it is hard for me to link a username to a real name. This happens to me in meetups all the time. I end up calling guys by their username, or by their irl name, and not knowing who they are on the forum.

Cheers,

Fok.

Honestly, I feel that this one could be really good partially structured. If you can convince people in the next hour or so to get behind that, I could change it. But after that, it would not be fair to the voters.

Cheers,

Fok.

Unfortunately I was asleep when you posted. Sucks to be European sometimes...

Same here. It's not even a question of style preference on my part: I simply can't fit in unstructured toeboxes due to my upturned big toes. Alas.

Superb boots. Is the toebox structured? It seems much taller than on the other pictures of Engineer Boots I've seen.
Also: these chukkas are insane.

The 2005 and 110 have a lot more room in the toebox then the 2030, just fwiw. I have both. The 2030 is decidedly slimmer in the toebox.

Fok, How does the 110 and 2005 toebox and forefoot width compare?

Its unstructured. the straps are on loosely. Boot looks tad more bulky that way. pants are also relatively slim. Or it may be the angle. It doesnt look as tall on the first pic. Chukkas are copper task smooth

Which is why I always fight for the 110 or 2045! :)

I simply can't stand the 2030 last, even though everything but my big toes fit perfectly. Too bad most Vibergs are on this last.

Just voted for the Hopper.

Wish I could get comfortable with the fit of chukkas. I'd be tempted by the Route 66. Viberg chukkas look pretty incredible. But I've had to get rid of every chukka I've ever bought.

Why was that? Too loose at the ankles/heels?

It's weird and I'm not positive exactly what it is. I think it's the number of eyelets and the fact that eyelets on a chukka start further up on the vamp. On a regular boot (or a shoe for that matter), the eyelets start closer to the toe. The two or three eyelets on a chukka aren't enough to give me a feeling of a secure fit, I guess. So I compensate by tightening them tight and then my instep starts to hurt after a while.

Maybe I just haven't found a chukka that works for me. Because I really like the look of chukkas, particularly Vibergs. I think a chukka in aged bark would be incredible.
