How long until the purchasing? Need a couple weeks to get the money together hope I'm not too late.

I've decided to lower the voting period to one week. So about 3 weeks. Purchasing will probably conclude at the end of July.

Is there a limit on the number of each make-up like a first come first served?

Is this going to be the GMTO period that has to wait while Viberg shuts down for a few months? Or will we get these boots made before that happens?

Before. They close for Christmas, which is a while off.

Not unless Viberg runs out of leather, which can happen with the more limited leathers.

Gandalf has pulled ahead of The Hopper (you Hopper dudes better get on there), and the Hopper and the Italian Greyhound are now neck and neck. Every other horse has decided that it's time for tea.

Gandalf the Grey is such a better name. Torn between these and the unicorn. Decisions decisions.

Very different boots. Personally, the Gandalf is going to be the one that is harder to get every again, since the calf is limited. That's just my opinion. The black unicorn is pretty awesome as well.

Afraid I'm out on the Hopper, not totally satisfied after seeing how the soft toe collapses and $700 is no small chunk of change for me. Hope you guys get it made regardless.

Good point. Is the Gandalf going to have an unstructured or partially structured toe?

With the lighter leather, like the Italian Grey Calf, I default to unstructured toe, because the structure can sometimes show through (not always, but it can) in a way that I don't love.

Engineer boots at their absolute finest. There's a growing consensus that the Hopper Engineer may represent the best engineer ever offered from a boot manufacturer. Agree or not, this tobacco chamois leather is spot on in every way for an engineer boot.

Got it. One last question about the leather. Will it darken a bit over time? I have one pair of tan calf boots from Alden and I don't think it's darkened up much over the last year and a half.
