Prada "made in China"?!

I have bought one Prada sweater at www.raffaello-network.com and I don't know if it is original or fake. On the site it was indicated "Made in Italy", but on the recieved item it clearly says " Made in China" and the Prada logo is different than on other Prada clothes I have bought in Prada stores in Italy. Does Prada produce outside Europe at all? Has anyone experince buying Prada clothes online? If this is original, it cannot be compared in any sense with other clothes produced in Italy..I'm very disappointed...In this case I can fully understand that someone thinks it's overpriced brand!

Prada certainly produces some clothing outside of Italy. Sorry, that's all I know.

I thought Prada pioneered the whole Made in China haute-pricetage phenomenon, no?

Even if made in Italy, it might be made by Chinese, in an all chinese factory, just happens to be in Italy

I wasn't aware they were making clothes in China. I've seen a lot of items from Eastern Europe, such as Romania.

Or made in China, in a chinese factory, to be shipped to Italy for the addition of a few minor details and a "Made in Italy" tag...

Never seen any Prada made in China, but wouldn't say it was impossible. As far as I know Prada mainline is made in Italy, but Prada Sport is often from Romania, Turkey, etc these days.

Post photos of the tags?

In Italy,France,Austria,Croatia and Slovenia I have never found Prada (including sport line) clothes produced outside Italy...I should try to order mainline product and see what will happen...it is not possible that the mainline is produced in China... I hate all kinds of chinese products.. i will post tags..

Nowadays "made in italy" mostly means the garment has spent months on cargo ships crisscrossing the globe and has visited more continents than you, all before you've even cut the pricetags off. Dsquared: Ignorance is bliss, I suggest you stop reading this thread and not investigate this any further.

F*cking sneaky chinese!

The other day I bought a Coach wallet cheap and when I got home I was surprised that it was made in China. Don't know why I was surprised, but I thought that as a pseudo-luxury brand, Coach would have Made in Italy tags.

Can't you guys see? DSquared's viral sabotage campaign against Prada is working!

isnt that the "Prada Sport" label?

it's the lowest diffusion line from Prada, been available for years and has that orange tag. def made in China

Looks like Prada Sport to me.

Yup... that's Prada Sport

Look at the certificate of authenticity. If "Authenticity" is spelled "Authenticy" then you have a fake.

There were a bunch floating around a year or two ago and they never corrected the tag. Not sure about now though.
