Sulka 44R, minor damage.

Chester Barrie 40R

Hermes Tie (if anyone can tell me more about this item based on the tie's tags, I'd appreciate it)

Samuelsohn 44s

Turnbull Asser 16.5

You might want to pull that Hermes tie down because it's not authentic.

If you post a photo of the inner label on the Sulka suit, someone may be able to tell you the maker - I know Brioni has manufactured tailored clothing for Sulka.

Not to hijack this thread but.....

How can you tell that it (or any Hermes tie) is not authentic?

The crappy tags give it away.

Yeah, Hermes tags come in different colors (Black, red, etc) but the style is always the same.

VMan, what was your clue as to authenticity?

Was it the sewn on "Hermes Price Label"?

I'm sure ms244 didn't know and he did starte the auction at $.99!

Yea, I missed the price tag.

I actually had put the shirt on my watchlist earlier.

99.5/100 sure it is St Andrews, but post the label and we can make it 100.

Thanks for the advice on both counts. Much to learn.

I'll post a pic of the pocket label from the sulka later tonight. I'll be interested to see what I have.

And, tie auction is down. Even though I probably wouldn't know genuine hermes if it bit me on the ass, I had hoped that this might have been some vintage find (it's a 4") that predated the spate of counterfeit goods out there.

Thanks again.
Dave

The "damage" on the Sulka sports coat cannot be mended. It looks like a moth has taken a bite. The spot and size are too prominent for even a skilled tailor to do much. And based on your measurements, your description of 44R is all wrong. Shoulders 18 and chest 44 makes it more of a size 40-41. You better warn your buyers.
