People who are paid to do grooming (that is, third parties) disagree. There was an allusion to growth of hair in places where it doesn't belong. The cause might be androgens, maybe DHT, to which the eyebrows allegedly are insensitive. Mind you, eyebrow hairs that don't fall out keep growing unless checked, and as many men pay less attention to grooming (and other aspects of appearance) as they age, that probably gives rise to the disbelief that eyebrows thin with age. Look at elderly men, and you'll see that, even if long in places, their eyebrows are obviously thinning.
You mean it gives rise to the incorrect notion that men's eyebrows thicken with age, right? And you're saying they actually do thin, but since some don't fall out, and since older men don't pay as much attention, the eyebrow hairs remaining--although fewer in number--grow too long. That's what you mean, right?
