So I just bought a scarf on the advice of.. My girlfriend really. I'm new to the whole fashion scene, but I'm doing my best. I've been lurking on this forum for a while and doing my best to get in on the scene. (First post!)

Anyways, I was just trying to figure out.. What exactly can I wear this scarf with? The only thing I really ever see it worn with is a blazer or a peacoat of some sort. I'm seventeen in highschool; would I look a bit out of place dressed up like that? Is there other nice clothing combinations I could wear a scarf with?

Thanks a ton! Hope this post is welcome and not thought of as 'useless spam' or something.

What's the scarf like?

Don't worry about being over-dressed; just make sure you wear it when it's cold rather than just as a fashion accessory. I think wearing a scarf indoors looks goofy, but my 18-year-old cousin does that so maybe that's what you kids are doing these days. I wear my scarves outdoors only, with jackets of all sorts (odd jackets, sporty jackets, coats, etc.).

I wouldn't worry about how casual your outfit is: whether you're wearing jeans and a polo or a suit, it doesn't matter. Just make sure the colors all go together.

Wrap around neck, when cold outside, to keep neck warm.

That's about as basic as it gets.

For crying out loud. Try giving this advice when someone asks about a bowtie.

Welcome. Today, I was wearing a scarf with a black leather motorcycle-inspired jacket. I figure you can wear your scarf with just about anything.

**** had to remove them again!!! Man I see all those amazing pics of shoes and it seems I'm not talented enough to wear them. There goes my dream of wearing those Lobbs instead of going barefoot like always. How did you guys learn to type with them? Am I tying them wrong or are they the wrong size??? HALP!!!!
