Week 4 nfl picks

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh Pittsburgh by 4 I'll go with Pittsburgh here, their defense is pretty strong and Big Ben should find some of their excellent receivers open deep. Cincy's defense is hurt by injuries. Martin went off against this defense in Week 1. Indianapolis at Jacksonville Line: Indy by 4 I'm going to bet against Jacksonville again, one of these times, I should come up a winner. Oakland at Houston Oakland by 2.5 I like Oakland here, although this isn't a slam dunk. New England at Buffalo Line: New England by 5.5 Patriots roll... Philadelphia at Chicago Philly by 8.5 I'll take Philly here, 8.5 is quite a few points to give up for a road team, but Philly should roll. Washington at Cleveland Washington by 3 I'll take Washington, I think Cleveland needs to get their sht together quickly or else this will be a very long season. NY Giants at Green Bay Packers by 7 Not going to bet against Brett Favre at home. Atlanta at Carolina Carolina by 3.5 I'll take Atlanta here, even though Carolina is going to be tough at home, I think Atlanta's defense has played better than most people have anticipated thus far. New Orleans at Arizona Saints by 3.5 3.5 is too few points, Arizona has no offense and their defense is only appearing to be good becuase Vick and the Falcons couldn't get it in the end zone. NY Jets at Miami Jets by 6 Leonard Henry, who? Jets roll. Tennessee at San Diego Titans by 3 Too few points for a very good Tennessee team who is very close to being 3-0. Denver at Tampa Bay Broncos by 3 I like the Broncos here, unless the McCardell/Johnson trade gets done in a BIG hurry. St. Louis at San Francisco Rams by 3.5 I'll take the Rams, no respect huh... Kansas City at Baltimore Ravens by 5.5 MNF... I'll take the Ravens here, although this is a dangerous game. These are the games I'm going to bet on, seems like a good week for betting IMO: Rams @ SF Broncos @ TB Titans @ SD Saints @ ARI Pats @ BUF Indy @ JAX

I wouldn't be suprised if there were a few upsets this week. I'm looking for the 49ers to beat St. Louis, and maybe an upset in the Saints/Cardinals matchup as well... just a feeling, don't go betting money on it or anything

I guess if I was going to pick upsets, those wouldn't be my choices... Then again, after you get your ass kicked 34-0, you may have healthy motivation for the next week. Arizona has been atrocious, the best compliment you could give them so far is that they "didn't lose by that much to Atlanta" but... I dunno. I think the Falcons will upset the Panthers though.

The reason I picked those two matchups in particular is that St. Louis is showing no signs of playing smart football any time soon. Mike Martz is a stooge, and has publicly stated this week that he does not intend to change the way he has been coaching games. If they don't start getting Marshall Faulk involved in the running and short passing games, and keep throwing the ball deep 70% of the time, they are going to lose alot of games to mediocre teams. The San Fran 49ers are a team that is steeped in tradition and pride, and if you don't think they are gonna come out of their home tunnel trying to prove something this week, you must know something I don't. AND The Atlanta defense is better than people think. And so are the Arizona Cardinals. With the exception of a few big plays by Mike Vick (and so far, next to nobody has been able to stop him when he decides to leave the pocket) The Cards played a solid defensive game. I'm smelling a fluke/breakout offensively against the streaky and inconsistant NO saints.

After the early games: I am 4-3 ATS, 2-0 in my money games. Houston impressed me today, I wasn't too confident about that prediction, and they showed me why, Carr finally decided to throw the ball to Johnson, and Wells got some good yards on the ground. Favre getting knocked out doomed the packers. Apparently the return of Lee Suggs sparked the Browns to a win, portis needs to hold onto the damn ball.

3-2 in money games and 7-5 ATS now.

Well... as of right now, The Cardinals upset NO as predicted, and the rams are leading 24 to 6 over SF. *BUT* there is plenty of time left for me to be vindicated.
