New SF member and not sure where to find the answer you're looking for?  Have a quick question that doesn't belong in a current thread?  Welcome, you found the right place.

This is a weekly thread where new users can ask quick questions and get a solid answer.  If a thread already exists that would be more helpful, we will point you in the right direction.  The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.....so ask away!

I'm looking into updating my casual footwear/sneaker lineup and I'm not sure if there's a resource on StyleForum that goes in-depth on different sneaker/running shoe brands, what makes a good sneaker/running shoe from a construction and material standpoint, whether certain brands' shoes are resoleable, and so on. Or should I not expect those kinds of things when it comes to those?

I see that there are two different sneaker threads, but as I'm currently unwilling to spend more than $250~ on sneakers - although Common Projects is starting to appeal to me - I'm not sure if it's the right place to ask. Are there any threads I can make such inquiries? I've seen brands such as Buttero, Common Projects, TCG and Epaulet bandied about. These are the brands that have caught my attention the most so far.
