What I was wondering too. If Connemara hadn't said they were Handgrades, I would have been certain that they were the Connaught model (a "bench grade" C&J), what with the soles stitched aloft, the stamped gold emblem inside (rather than the impressed one you see on Handgrades), the exact stitching pattern of the Connaught, and what looks like the shape of the C&J 236 last. It's true that the Whitehall is very similar in overall appearance, but these do look like Connaught-level shoes made for Barneys.

Sorry Conne, I don't believe it is handgrade either.

Incidentally, BenSilver website list this exact shoe, the Whitehall, under its "handgrade" section. I think they are wrong too.

There are some numbers under size on the inside of the shoe. Would they help identify the model? "297." I was told they were Handgrades when I bought them, this sucks

This should resolve all the confusion.

No, the Whitehall is a C&J Handgrade, and that's what Ben Silver are selling. The issue here is whether the shoes for sale by Connemara are, in fact, Whitehalls, and it's pretty clear that they're not. They're Connaughts, or Connaught-equivalents, special-ordered by Barneys.

Yeah, I guess they're Connaughts. Thanks for clearing that up.

If there's NO interest at any price, these will go to eBay tonight or tomorrow morning.

Someone was trying to sell Connaughts here, probably in slightly better condition, for $160 and there was no interest for months. If price is utmost to you right now, ebay is your bet for getting north of $150

Those are probably not handgrades. It looks exactly the same as the Connaught I tried on today. Those are mainline.

Yeah, it does answer all questions about what the shoes are. Conne, are you the winner of the auction, mpawlows225? And was PatriotsFan the seller?

I'll take them for your asking price ($25).
