What is Your Favorite Wine with Turkey? - Page 2

My wife and I drink champagne as we prepare the meal. The rest of our family doesn't appreciate it or accept it when we offer it. This comes after my martini that is consumed while I am outside watching the turkey fryer, making sure I don't set the backyard on fire.

Pinot Noir with dark meat. Chardonnay with white meat.

This is good advice though I like a slight deviation from this in which you pair the wine to the stuffing/dressing

I traditionally serve Gewurtztraminer; a slightly sweet one rather than an Alsatian. It goes splendidly with the spice of sausage stuffing as well as the sweet/tartness of the fresh cranberry relish, and also with the yams. I really can't imagine anything that would be better. ~ Huntsman
