Anyone else planning on checking out the new muscle cars when they're released? I can't stop looking at pics of the new dodge challenger. It's such an awesome looking car! I'm impressed with how well they merged the modern and retro look. It'll definitely be crazy seeing cars like this on the streets!

I used to have a 2001 SS Camaro. I always wanted either a 55 Bel Air or like a 70 SS Chevelle.

Nice, I love '57 Chevys and 1st generation Camaros (1969 Z28!!). Haven't owned one yet...

Current car: 06 Mustang GT black/black with JLT2 cold air intake and Brenspeed 91 octane tune (+ ~30 hp over stock). One of these days I will be get around to putting on a Basani muffler set to get the sound just where I want it.

Next car: Barring any deal killing problems with it, I plan to be one of the first owners of the new Challenger. I also have a problem with looking at Challenger p0rn.

Part of me, though, feels like I should grow up a little (I'm 33) and get a more "lux" type car. I guess I need to get the "loud, fast and unrefined" thing out of my system first.

I owned a 1967 Mustang fastback for a few years but grew weary of the repairs. It had a poorly designed power steering unit that always broke down. The engine was enormous, so there wasn't much room for the power steering pump and hoses and all that.

I'm a 03 Cobra owner, but I like the Challenger, however the lack of a manual turned me off. The Camaro concept is noce, but by the time it reaches production, it would be castrated and nuetered.

I wouldn't mind if a Shelby GT350 or Shelby Cobra 427 showed up in my garage.

<3 Nupe Or a 70 Chevelle SS. Wait. SoCal and I agree on something. What the hell.

a 70's Chevelle with the racing stipes is something to admire. Another car I loved was the 80-82 Trans-Ams (even though they were short on muscle).

I love the style of the older cars which is probably why I'm so into the challenger. it looks like they kept the lines, headlights, and even stripe true to the original. It's a serious throwback!

If they could just offer the car with a manual, I'd be all over it. From a styling perspective the car is nice, a far better design than the current Charger.

I agree about the Charger, bleck!! who made the decision to make it a sedan?!

I hadn't heard the Challenger was auto only, in fact I distinctly remember reading from several sources that there would be a 6-speed manual option. Is this recent news?

As much as I dislike the 07 Cobra GT500 (heavy, not much quicker than my 03, not aggressive enough styling), I can't stop lusting after the GT500KR. This is what the GT500, should have been from the jump:

More HP and Torque
A stiffer stouter suspension
Better gearing 3.73's
More aggressive styling

If it weren't for the high price tag and limited numbers, I would trade my car in a heartbeat to obtain one.

I own a '67 Plymouth Satellite. It's got the 318 but I've tweaked it pretty good with new intake, headers, ignition, and carb. Also put in poly bushings and KYB shocks. Other than the brakes it feels like a modern car. Sadly I'll have to sell it soon...

I had a '68 Charger with a 440 when I was in HS. Boy that was a fun car! My present sled is a 1995 Impala SS stroked to a 383 with new heads, cam etc.etc. also a fun car but more mannerly than the Charger was. There really is no substitute for cubic inches.

My dream muscle car, a restored '67 Shelby GT500.
