Recommendation of a summer wedding suit in London MTM/Bespoke

Hi there,

Long time reader, but a first post.

I am looking to buy a 2-piece suit in a light brown/beige-ish color for my wedding in southern France at the end of August. The style of the suit needs to be fairly slim and sporty in line with the cuts we usually wear on the continent. I have two suits from ASuitThatFits for work, and although the quality and workmanship is decent for the price (well at least few years back when it was prices c. £400), I wouldn't qualify these suits as nice, elegant cuts.

My budget is around £800 to £1000. I work litteraly minutes from Savile Row so saying that I am baffled by the number of options in the sphere of MTM and semi-bespoke is an under statement. Would be great to get a short list of proven addresses that can match the style I am after. Richard James seems to offer the right style but unfortunately their price starts at £1300 for MTM:cry:. Does anyone know some other options slightly closer to my price range?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Branir

That's the kind of budget I usually have for suits. Two suggestions: first, Cad and the Dandy who are on Savile Row. I had a navy 3 piece suit made there and it is very good. Second, my favorite at this budget is Graham Browne in the City. I've had them make me several pairs of trousers, a couple of jackets and a suit and I've been very pleased with them. They are pretty flexible on style too.

Hope that's helpful. The Cad and the Dandy website is all singing all dancing and the Graham Browne one is not but that rather reflects the experience! C&D is slick, GH slightly disorganised but much more personal.

Feel free to get back to me if you've any questions.

You certainly cannot afford Savile Row's mainstream at that budget but I would endorse C and D or Browne, there are some reasonable reports of them about.
