Hey people of style forum, i need your help with an item. Just recently i put i a PRINCIPE suit 40R *Super 110's* on ebay and it got a bid by the second day. I dont know much about the brand or the suit and i was wondering if anyone had any information on the reason that it has a bid already. Is it because Principe is a good brand? 40R is a common size? Super 110's suits are rare? maybe all of the above?

Measurements:

Jacket:

3 Button Closure**

Shoulders (shoulder seam to shoulder seam):19''
Sleeve Length (shoulder seam to end of sleeve): 25''

Trouser:

Cuffed and Double Pleated**

I own a principe I got at TJ Maxx or something many moons (and pre-SF) ago. It is a dark charcoal two vent, two button - good workhorse suit, but . . . . it ain't MTM or bespoke. However, it is great for traveling

I've only seen them in Men's Wearhouse which won't get them much love around here. They may even be a MW house brand although I can't say that with certainty. Could just be that the bidder liked the look of the suit and thought it offered a decent value for what he was willing to bid.

and your bidder like no-brand suits in 40R. His last two wins were similar style suits.

isn't Principe a Marzotto product?

Yes, I've seen labels that read "Principe by Marzotto".

And while they are decidedly middle of the road garments they are decent and they definitely are not sold only in MW.

It is at least three or four years since I've been in a MW but they most definitely had quite a few Principe on that visit. That is one reason I thought they may have been a house brand. They were definitely their higher end suits. Which may be a better explaination for the other reason I suspected they were a house brand...they were pushing them like crazy.
