I saw this in one of the many catalogs getting sent to us. So I started doing a price search on the web after watching the video that is linked from this page: http://www.avantiproducts.com/index....roducts&id=261

My wife just ordered one from target.com and got free shipping and bonus points on her CC

I figure it is just the thing for entertaining. Does anyone else have one?

Who sells thier beer in 5L kegs? Your probably better off getting a 5 G cornelius keggerator and a 5LBS co2 tank rather than the little co2 cartridges which will run out fast.

I see the 5L mini kegs all the time, from CostCo to Trader Joe's. The 16g are supposed to do over 3L of beer, or you can get a large 340g insert. I do not have "keggers" and my main concern is I get the 5L consumed quick enough to stop it from going skunky, as I am more a wine/spirits guy these days. I figure the 5L is perfect for have a few people over, it gets consumed or mostly so, and is a nice conversation piece on my bar.

Thats cool I didnt know you could buy 5L kegs. Beer wont go 'skunky' when pressurized and under a blanket of co2 and chilled, but either way that seems like a cool set up.

5L is little over 2 six packs. I think it would make more sense to just keep bottles in the fridge. I suppose it's an interesting gadget. I don't even save money over bottles buying 1/6th barrel (20L) kegs of New Belgium. 1/4 barrels are a good deal though.

I'm putting it outside on my bar by the pool. I agree, it's just an interesting gadget but it keeps said bottles out of my fridge and allows guests to poor into non-breakable beer mugs out at the pool. Plus, there's just something special about beer from a tap.

Pool bar? Niice. I think you should replace the tap handle.
