Epaulet Sport Trainer Pre-Orders: Oxblood Horsehide and Alabaster Calfskin

Hey guys,

We're doing a set of three Pre-Orders for our newly released Sport Trainers. If you're not familiar with these, then here's the spiel:

The Sport Trainer is our modern day re-interpretation of the athletic shoes issued to the West German army in the 1970s. We've retained the clean lines, slim shape, and minimal design of the original - but we've upgraded all of the materials to offer a truly high-end product. They are made from start to finish in Portugal.

Epaulet Sport Trainers perfectly compliment the casual side of our collection. We're confident that they are the best product on the market at anything approaching this price. They'll wear in beautifully, and we believe you'll find them to be some of the most comfortable shoes that you have ever worn.

A German-made single-unit rubber sole provides great traction and a cushioned ride. A kidskin glove leather full liner extends throughout the interior, and a comfortable, removable insole cushions every step. Both whole and half sizes are available for a precise fit.

We're stocking four colors of this at the moment, but I wanted to set up some special order projects alongside them. That way we can offer rare leathers and lower prices. For this month, we have three variants available to pre-order. Each one has a separate deposit payment (paid when you order) and balance payment (paid when the shoes are landed in NYC and ready to ship out to you).


1. Oxblood Front Quarter Horsehide: Hailing from the esteemed Comipel tannery of Italy, this genuine horsehide is rich and thick. It has a soft, gorgeous hand and a deep burgundy tone. It will gain exceptional character as it ages. Production in this leather is limited to 24 units for this round. The trainer will have a matched suede mudguard on the front. Deposit is $110, Balance is $155.


2. Alabaster Calfskin: Last year, we introduced the Tennis Trainer in a beautiful off-white calfskin. For this project, we're offering this same butter-soft full-grain calf in an all-over leather makeup of the Sport Trainer. There is no suede contrast for this design. Production is limited to 36 units for this leather. Deposit is $110, Balance is $95


3. White Calfskin / Grey Suede: This is our "basic" colorway for the Sport Trainer, and something that we have in stock now. We will receive a full restock in Sept-Oct, but we'll only order sizes US8 through US12. If you need a size bigger or smaller than that, OR you want to absolutely guarantee yourself a size, then this preorder is a great opportunity. Deposit is $110, Balance is $115.
