Bacon.

I am convinced that there is no food greater than the bacon strip. Its versatility is mindblowing...for example, I had bacon with breakfast, dinner and my little midnight snack (a not-so-little sub). When you bite into a crispy piece of bacon, the joy is equivalent to 10,000 orgasms achieved in a time span of 30 seconds. I urge all of you to take a moment and thank the evolutionary process for producing the most delicious food on Planet Earth.

I heard a plate of alfredo pasta is equivalent to eating 32 strips of bacon. Next time you plan on eating alfredo, just eat 32 strips of bacon.

I may have just made your life better

There is a guy local to here, who owns a pig farm. He had the best bacon I've ever had. Unfortunatly, he won't have anymore until next month. In the mean time.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V70uzuPoV5w

I miss the bacon served in the English breakfast. Unavailable here and I'm disinclined to have a food parcel flown out. Truly a case of porca miseria!

What if you put the 32 strips of bacon in an alfredo pasta. It may just be the end of our world as we know it!

I keep 2-3 different kinds of high quality smoked bacon in my freezer at all times. (Apple wood, cobb etc...).

A few ounces rendered and then used for a carbonara or other dish can add incredible flavor and make for a fantastic and easy meal.

Bacon is, well, good.

Food and Wine has an article this month about a bartender who has discovered how to flavor alcohol with fats and then precipitate them out leaving the flavor, but no oiliness, behind. He talks about using bacon fat with bourbon, which sounds pretty good to me (I also think a smoky island single malt might be really good). A tumbler of bacon flavored whisky with a bacon sandwich might be the ultimate bacon experience.

Reading this has made me visibly aroused.

I love bacon also.

I don't like it all crispy. I just enough chewiness. also thicker center cut is better. I buy mine from costco, they have the maple smoked flavor.

I also leave the leftover fat for making scrambled eggs.

Bacon is teh good. But don't limit yourself at "bacon", think also pancetta, back bacon, French lardons, British rashers...pig is the universal animal

Pancetta is delicious. I had some great locally-slaughtered stuff in Italy.
