Along with Grenson, PS is using both a Spanish and Italian maker (or makers). Here's a pair made, I believe, in Italy:
The Spanish and Italian shoes are being offered at a lower price point meant to appeal to a younger consumer, and to those reluctant to pony up for the price for the SC shoes. They're more fashion forward as well, as evidenced by this rather questionable pair:
I was in the Chicago store recently. They still have some Stuart's choice laying around that were made by EG.
They looked an awful lot like my Sloanes, on a round-toe last (065) but they're not sloanes. Brown penny loafer of some type. The salesman told me they are not EG, but William Greene or something weird, allegedly no relation....but I think he was messing with me because he figured if I had the sense to look at a heel pattern and the size/model numbering and identify the maker, I would find it funny.
