Spider incident in Arizona; scorpions in Oklahoma; roaches in Texas...you can run but you cannot hide.

I suspect the weather in Montreal keeps down the insects. You only deal with mosquitos carrying off small children in the summer.

Bugs are much worse than mice. Mice aren't great but at least we're in the same phylum. Plus, look at this face:

Contrast it with this face:

Definitely bugs. I wouldn't want mice in my house either, but they don't freak me out, and as RJ said, you can just get a cat.

My house has a pesticide service and I think the relative lack of roaches - only one in two months, is worth the damage to my health from the insecticide.

How often do you spray?

Yes, that is true. Freezing temps in the winter prevents the mfers from getting too big! I think that maybe I like canada after all.

Sort of like how you mofos get all right-wing and all about limited government and guns and stuff and you stay in your little pinko paradise...

I am absolutely freaked out by spiders. They scare the bejesus out of me. I have, quite literally, stood on my coffee table upon seeing a rather huge one.

In our home, I take out the garbage and my wife kills the bugs. That's just the way it is.

And whoever posted that photo of...whatever the ******* is (I screamed and scrolled as fast as possible)--don't ever do that again! Gawdamn.

Im freaked out by insects, a lot.

I can kill the small brown roaches, but the big black ones freak me out. And spiders, i dont mind the small ones, but if its big and has those thick hairy legs, im out of there (i apply same standards to girls).

I used to have a reoccuring nighmare about my house being invaded by hordes of insects all over the floor.

Insects, like dogs, smell fear. You've probably answered your own question.

Ironically, the house centipede is a natural solution to gross bug infestations:

+1 on not killing spiders. Though it's more because I find them interesting more than the fact that they eat other bugs.

Most bugs don't bother me at all. Except for these bastards.

I just kill everything that I see. None of them make me squirmish or anything though.

On a side note about the praying mantis's. When I lived with my parents, my dad would bring in praying mantis's and leave them inside. It did creep me out when I was sitting there taking a dump in the bathroom and one flies (yes, the huge mantis's fly) past me and landed on the sink's edge and watched me squeeze some more out.

I don't get those who are afraid of insects or rodents. They are not scary.

What are slightly disturbing are certain forms of marine life.
