Campagna suits

Gianni is coming to the Pierre Hotel in New York the first two weeks of October. He is a great tailor and contrary to what I have read on this message board, he is not overpriced. His suits run around 3,500 euros.

His prices are somewhat less than I thought. I walked by his place on via Palestro in Milan, and in the window was a mini price list on which it said that "su misura" suits start at 2500 Euros, and RTW shirts 200 Euros. Obviously this depends on fabric selection, but provided that you don't choose vicuna, Super 180s or millionaire cashmere it could actually be affordable. I saw a RTW suit in the window which I didn't fall in love with, but near the back were two jackets with beautifully contoured silhouettes.

3500 for a RTW Campgna suit IS overpriced, I'm afraid. But for MTM not so bad. koji

I've always wondered about the quality of Campagna RTW suits. Care to say more about why you feel 3500 euro is too much? How does Campagna RTW compare to Oxxford and Kiton RTW? Cheers, JV
