Thinking of getting a pair of loafers not green suede gator though for my first bespoke shoes during Nicholas' visit to the US next month. I think he makes some really great loafers.

My purple tragedy was a no brainer for me and gets plenty of use.

Maybe you can post some fit pics for us? I would be interested in seeing how you would wear these shoes.
Haven’t given much thought to it but was thinking any color pants that’s not black or too light so navy, charcoal, grey, brown, etc

@Texasmade , was tassel loafers the original idea?
Or did that come about at the latter stage of discussion/design?
It was a last minute decision once he finally came to Houston. Originally I was thinking something more similar to GJ Cleverly Baron de Reade (spelling?) loafers but after scrolling through Nic’s IG page saw the tassels. I believe he made them for Steve Hitchcock but can’t remember now.

On the first visit, we had a short discussion and I showed him some tassels he made. I said let’s do this style and just went with it.

Honestly, i didn't even know that gator could be suede (sueded?)...dumb question, is it an application after the gator is skinned like when its dyed?
It can be sueded/shaved or nubucked on the grain side. And gator items can be made flesh-out (reversed). Though whether any of that's desirable is debated.

Flesh out you don’t see much of the scales on gator. Not sure it’d be worth the price.
