. If you're in New York you can also visit Kiton's boutique on 54th. Kiton was voted "The Best of the Best" suitmaker by Robb Report for 2004. I believe Oxxford in Chicago won it for 2002 and 2003. I can give a thumbnail about what makes it so pricey- exquiste fabrics, usually at least Super 130s or better, often Super 150s. Most of the garment is hand sewn- usually in excess of 40 hours per garment. Others here can speak more in detail. And cachet- lots of it. They can charge 5K because people will pay it- it's the Bentley of suits IMO.
